Floor Lamp. 2016

The logic of this design hinged upon the difference between points as places of termination, which are here expressed by the heavy base block of Douglas Fir and the smaller cube of Red Oak. The lines then act as channels of travel and this is expressed in the maple dowels. The lamp has a Tinkertoy logic, but maintains a subtle exuberance of form.
